Automad
Automad is a flat-file content management system and template engine that manages content and works with templates. It is for users who want an open source CMS built around files, with template handling in the same program. The content management system and template engine cover separate parts of that work: one manages content, and the other handles templates. This pairing may suit a file-based content workflow without requiring users to choose separate programs for those two roles. Its main limitation is the flat-file architecture. Automad will not match requirements for a CMS built on a different storage model. Users should consider that constraint before choosing it, because the file-based model is a core part of the program. For users whose requirements align with flat-file content management, Automad also provides template engine functionality.
