SAMA

SAMA is a self-hosted chat solution that includes both the server component and the client applications needed to access the chat service. The server can be hosted independently, while users connect through the provided clients. Unlike projects that supply only a chat server or only a client, SAMA covers both sides of the system in one open source project. It is intended for users who want to operate their own chat server without having to find separate client software for connecting to it. No specific paid product is identified as a direct replacement. Its main distinction is also a practical limitation for some users: SAMA is designed around self-hosting, so it is aimed at people who want to host the server component themselves rather than use chat software that consists only of a standalone client or an independently provided server.
