WriteFreely

WriteFreely is open source writing software for creating a minimalist, federated blog or an entire writing community. It can provide the basis for a single blog, a shared publishing space, or a broader community centered on writing. It supports both individual publishing and community use, whether you want one federated blog or a complete space where many people can write. The software is licensed under the AGPL-3.0. WriteFreely is intended for individual writers and for people establishing writing communities. It can replace WordPress.com for blogging and community publishing. One important difference is its explicitly minimalist approach: WriteFreely is focused on writing, federated blogs, and spaces for communities to write, rather than presenting itself as a direct equivalent to every part of WordPress.com.
