SimpleDMS

SimpleDMS is an easy-to-use document management system (DMS) that sorts documents almost by itself through a metadata-driven approach. It is intended for small businesses that want documents managed and sorted with metadata. As open source software, it keeps its scope centered on document organization. Metadata guides the sorting process, while the DMS handles much of the work involved in placing documents in order. This makes the program suitable for small businesses seeking a straightforward system for managing a document collection. Its clearest limitation is the degree of automation: almost by itself does not mean that document sorting is fully automatic in every case. Users should therefore expect near-automatic sorting, while the program remains focused on metadata-driven document management for small businesses.
