miniserve
Miniserve serves files and directories over HTTP from a command-line interface. It is for people who are comfortable using CLI tools and need HTTP access to file-system content. A file or directory is the content being served, and HTTP is the delivery protocol. This direct scope gives terminal users a focused way to serve either type of content without describing Miniserve as a broader application. Its limitation is equally direct: Miniserve focuses on serving files and directories over HTTP. Users who need a different protocol, a non-CLI workflow, or functions beyond file and directory serving should choose software designed for those requirements. Miniserve remains suited to the narrower task of exposing files and directories through HTTP from a terminal session.
