Islandora

Islandora is a Drupal module for browsing and managing digital repositories built on Fedora. It is for people and teams that already use Drupal and Fedora for repository work. Some users can browse repository material, while those responsible for the repository can manage it. Both tasks take place through the Drupal module and apply to a Fedora-based repository. This scope is also Islandora's main limit. It is tied to Drupal and Fedora-based digital repositories, so it is not independent of those systems. It fits a Drupal and Fedora setup rather than repositories built on other, unspecified platforms. Its role is narrow and specific: users browse the digital repository and responsible staff manage it through Drupal, with Fedora as its base.
