ArchiveBox

MIT self-hosted Web

Alternative to: Alternatives to Pocket

ArchiveBox creates archives of websites collected from your bookmarks, browsing history, RSS feeds, and other sources. It preserves sites in both HTML and screenshot formats, providing a way to keep content gathered through services and sources you already use. It is designed for people who want to create and retain their own site archives, and it can also serve as an alternative to the Wayback Machine for this purpose. ArchiveBox is an MIT-licensed open source replacement for Pocket when the main need is preserving saved web content. However, it should not be treated as a feature-for-feature copy of Pocket: the documented focus of ArchiveBox is specifically on creating HTML and screenshot archives from collected sites. Its role is therefore centered on archiving rather than reproducing every function that may be available in the paid product.
