Apaxy

self-hosted

Apaxy enhances browsing of web directories by applying CSS to directory listings generated by Apache's mod_autoindex module. It is for people who browse web directories on Apache and want a directory listing that does not use the module's default style. The theme works with the listing produced by mod_autoindex, then uses CSS to override its appearance. Its scope is focused: Apaxy changes the style of an Apache web directory listing rather than replacing the web directory or the Apache module that generates it. An important limitation is Apaxy's dependence on Apache and mod_autoindex. Apaxy supplies CSS that overrides the default style, while mod_autoindex remains the module used for the directory listing. As a result, the theme's role is limited to improving the browsing experience through presentation; it does not take over the module's work of producing the directory listing.
