Evidence

Evidence is a code-based business intelligence tool that lets users write reports in SQL and markdown, then renders those reports as a website. It is for people who create BI reports and are comfortable working directly with SQL and markdown, including users who prefer a code-based reporting process and web output. The program centers report creation on these two formats and turns the finished work into website pages. The main limitation is that report authors need to write SQL and markdown. This makes Evidence less suitable for people who do not use SQL, do not write markdown, or want to create reports without code. The rendered website does not remove that authoring requirement; SQL and markdown remain the way reports are written.
