Socialhome

Socialhome is a federated, decentralized profile builder and social network engine. It is designed for people who want to build profiles and participate in social networking through a system that is not centralized in one place. As an engine, it supplies the foundation for a social network centered on profiles. Its federated model allows the social network to operate across separate parts, while its decentralized model avoids making one central system the sole basis of the network. These two traits define how Socialhome approaches online profiles and social networking. Socialhome may suit users, communities, or operators seeking a decentralized alternative to centralized profile and social network systems. Its limitation is its focused scope: Socialhome is a profile builder and social network engine, so it should not be treated as a broader type of software.
