remark42

Remark42 is a lightweight, simple comment engine that can be embedded in blogs, articles, and other places where readers add comments. It is for bloggers, article publishers, and people who manage other spaces built for reader responses. The engine does not spy on users, making it suitable for those who want comments without user spying. Its honest limitation is its narrow role: Remark42 handles reader comments, not the blogs, articles, or other surrounding material. It can serve a blog's comment area, sit with an article, or appear in another location intended for reader input. Because it is an embedded comment engine, it depends on such a host location for its use. Remark42 stays focused on adding a place for comments rather than covering wider publishing tasks.
