phpBB

phpBB is a flat-forum bulletin board program that keeps a group of people in touch or powers an entire website. It is for groups that want a shared forum and for site operators who want bulletin board software at the center of a complete website. A small use can focus on contact among the people in one group, while the broader use can make phpBB the basis of the whole site. The program's core model is a flat forum, not a different type of forum structure. That is its main limitation: anyone who needs a non-flat structure will need other software. Within that boundary, phpBB can take either a focused role for one group's communication or the central role on a website.
