MyBB

MyBB is a free, extensible software package for creating and running a forum. It is intended for people who need forum software and prefer a package with no purchase price. Its extensible design also fits users who want the option to expand the forum software rather than treat it as a fixed package. This makes MyBB a free alternative to paid forum software. Its main limitation is scope: MyBB is forum software, not a general-purpose package for every type of website or online service. It is relevant when a forum is the required format. People seeking software for another purpose would need a different category of program. Within that boundary, MyBB's defining characteristics are its free availability, forum focus, and capacity for extension.
