InspIRCd
InspIRCd is a modular IRC server written in C++ for Linux, BSD, Windows, and macOS. It is for IRC network operators and system administrators who need to run server software on one of these operating systems. Its C++ code also makes it relevant to developers who work on the program. InspIRCd handles the server side of Internet Relay Chat, or IRC. Its modular structure organizes the server into separate parts rather than one undivided program. Support for four operating system families gives operators a choice of host platform for an IRC deployment. One limitation is its server role: InspIRCd is not an end-user IRC client. People who want to take part in chat still need separate IRC client software to connect to the server.
