Ergo

MIT self-hosted Linux macOS Web Windows

Ergo runs a modern IRCv3 server with an ircd, services framework, and bouncer. It is written in Go. It is for IRC server operators who want these parts in one program. The ircd fills the server role. The services framework and bouncer sit beside that role in the same program. This setup fits people who build or maintain an IRCv3 system. They do not have to assemble an ircd, services framework, and bouncer as three separate programs. Ergo is limited to the IRCv3 use case. Teams that need a server for another chat protocol will need other software. It may also be broader than needed for someone who wants only a standalone bouncer or only a services framework. Ergo includes the IRC server role as well.
